Glossy red glass that beautifully reflects the light. Each button is a soft square with rounded corners, and the face dips into a shallow dish around the four holes, so the colour pools deeper in the centre and brightens at the edges. Up close you can see the small marks of handwork in the glass, which only add to their charm.
There are two reds here. The 48 mm leans a little toward wine, while the 42 mm is a true red. Picture either set down the front of a black or charcoal wool coat, where they read almost like jewellery. They have a satisfying weight in the hand, so they belong on a sturdy coat rather than a fine knit.
