These look as though they were carved from polished cherry wood, then left to curl at one edge like a leaf drying in the sun. The grain ripples across each button in its own pattern, and the glossy finish catches the light in the hollow of the curl. Like snowflakes no two are exactly the same, but together they are brilliant.
They are big and sculptural, yet surprisingly light. If it were me, I would use one as the single closure on a wrap coat or a boiled-wool jacket, where it can be the whole point. They would be just as beautiful on a hand-knit cardigan, because they won't drag the fabric down.
The back is flat, so they sit nicely against the garment, with two holes for sewing. Sold individually in 42 mm and 48 mm. The 36 mm size is sold as a set of 6.
